--Hosea 6:3a
Welcome to my web page, I am so glad you decided to stop by, may I suggest you come back every week.
Take Benjamin Franklin's weekly Subject and have positive change take place in your life.
Effective change in our lives is possible, just a few words to our memory banks on a daily basis and change is natural. Just simple reminders of the things we value.
God has made us in such a way that we forget the
yesterdays so we can function in the "now".
But we seldom remember the values we set for ourselves unless we are
reminded over and over again
until they become so
ingrained, that there's no chance of failure. We will
begin to see the difference in ourselves in about 3 weeks.
Benjamin Franklin's method is
(1 subject a week, there are 13 subjects):
From a mind that constantly ask
God for help, so he can help
others;
"I hope, therefore, that some of my descendants may follow the example and reap the benefit" Benjamin Franklin
His recommendation was that we stick to one subject strictly for one week, leaving the others proper time.
13 weekly subjects - repeated 4 times a year.
Franklin's Thirteen Subjects
1. Temperance--Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation.
2. Silence--Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself; avoid trifling conversation.
3. Order--Let all your things have their places; let each part of your business have its time.
4. Resolution--Resolve to perform what you ought; perform with out fail what you resolve.
5 Frugality--Make no expense but to do good to others or yourself; i.e., waste nothing.
6. Industry--Loose no time; be always employ'd in something useful; cut off
all unnecessary actions. Nov 5-11
7. Sincerity--Use no hurtful deceit; think innocently and justly, and if you speak, speak accordingly. Nov 12-18
8. Justice--Wrong none by doing injuries, or omitting the benefits that are your duty. Nov 19-25
9. Moderation--Avoid extremes; forbear resenting injuries so much as you think they deserve. Nov 26-Dec 2
10. Cleanliness--Tolerate no uncleanliness in body, cloaths, or habitation. Dec 3-9
11. Tranquility--Be not disturbed at trifles, or at accidents common or unavoidable. Dec 10-16
12. Chastity--Rarely use venery but for health or offspring, never to dulness,
weakness, or the injury of your own or another's peace or reputation. Dec 17-23
13. Humility--Imitate Jesus and Socrates. Dec 24-31
